Job Description
EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilled Engineering Estimator to join a precision engineering company located in North Nottinghamshire, working on a permanent basis.
Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
This role would be suitable for individuals currently occupying a Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Applications Engineering, Engineering Estimator, Technical Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Development Engineer or CAD CAM Programmers role.

EMBS Engineering is the exclusive partner for a leading, growing engineering company based in North Nottingham that is making ground-breaking moves to become the market leader in manufacturing complex precision components for a number of lucrative industries.This successful, high-profile sub-contract precision engineering company produces a variety of components from simple machined parts to complex turnkey assemblies and products.
Your responsibilities include:
* Preparation of works instructions that clearly define the manufacturing process for production staff and generation of clear BOM\'s (bill of materials)
* Identifying ways to standardise the quotation process to improve speed of production and accurate repetition
* Providing support to production to ensure products are manufactured to appropriate standards and in the most cost-effective manner
* Advising the appropriate processes for the manufacture of new products.
* Ensuring that all personnel are aware of the quality standards and have all the information required to be able to implement them
Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
* Previously worked with complex parts for precision industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, MOD, Oil & Gas etc
* Strong knowledge of machining (CNC & Manual) with the ability to calculate cycle times, manning hours and knowledge of tooling, jigs and fixtures
* Ability to identify a method of manufacture working from an engineering drawing
* Exposure and use of MRP/ERP systems
