Job Description
Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Office Manager to join our team in Central London. As an Office Manager with a leading Tier 1 main contractor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the site office, supporting key administrative functions, and creating a positive, efficient workspace. This role is suited to a skilled professional with extensive experience in office management, particularly in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the office, managing office supplies, equipment, and overall facility needs to ensure a seamless, productive environment.
* Provide administrative support to senior management, handling calendars, coordinating meetings, and assisting with document preparation as required.
* Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers, ensuring contracts are up-to-date and services are delivered to a high standard.
* Ensure the office environment complies with health and safety regulations, performing regular checks and coordinating with relevant departments to address any issues.
* Organize internal events, meetings, and team-building activities to foster a collaborative team culture.
* Oversee office budget management, processing expenses, reconciling invoices, and ensuring adherence to company financial policies
* Act as the main point of contact for office communications, liaising with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of information and resources.
* Lead and support administrative staff within the office, providing guidance, training, and delegation of tasks to ensure high productivity.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Office Manager or in a similar role, preferably within the construction.
* Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with a strong attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with staff, vendors, and senior management.
* Experience with managing budgets, processing invoices, and ensuring cost efficiency within an office environment.
* Proven experience in managing or supervising a team, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
