The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teacher of English to join their dynamic team from January 2025. This is a full-time role involving full teaching responsibilities. As a key member of the English department, you will inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging a lifelong love of language and literature.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that are engaging and accessible, promoting academic achievement and personal growth.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure each student reaches their potential.
Develop and implement innovative teaching methods, adapting lessons to meet the needs of individual students.
Prepare students for GCSE examinations, with a focus on both subject mastery and exam readiness.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive curriculum and contribute to the ongoing development of the English department.
Participate actively in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
About You:
The successful candidate will be a dedicated and passionate English teacher with the following qualifications and attributes:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related field.
Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level, preferably with experience in preparing students for GCSEs.
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and a commitment to maintaining high educational standards.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
A team player who is eager to contribute to the department and the wider school community.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
