Location: Wednesbury Depot, Potters Lane, Wednesbury, WS10 0AR
Salary: £51,969 per annum + Excellent Benefits!
Contract: Full time, Permanent

We are now recruiting for a Planning and Performance Manager to lead the planning and coordination of multidisciplinary infrastructure maintenance tasks.

You will manage key resources, oversee the Permit Office, coordinate with contracts and develop KPIs to enhance asset reliability and maintenance efficiency. You should be a proactive and organised leader with strong technical skills and the ability to guide the planning and performance of our infrastructure operations.

In addition to this, you as our Planning and Performance Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Performance Management & Oversight: Oversee day-to-day infrastructure maintenance across multiple disciplines. Provide feedback to team leaders, enhance asset management, and drive efficiency.
  • Planning & Coordination: Lead the centralised scheduling of maintenance activities, internal and external, ensuring alignment with business objectives and minimal network disruption.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Support health, safety, and environmental standards, maintaining accurate maintenance records and compiling regular performance reports.
  • Contractor & Resource Management: Manage resources for external contractors, ensure adherence to schedules, and oversee the Permit Office.
  • Team Support & Training: Coordinate on-call rosters, track competencies, and provide training aligned with the infrastructure competency matrix.
  • Strategic Support: Act as deputy to the Infrastructure Manager and contribute to strategic planning for department growth and efficiency.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in infrastructure or public services, with a background in budget management and contractor engagement.
  • Leadership experience managing teams of 10+ and collaborating across departments.
  • Technical Skills including proficiency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Microsoft SharePoint, and familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Compliance Knowledge with IOSH/NEBOSH preferred, and ability to understand electrical schematics.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Level 3 or above qualification in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, ILM Level 4 in Leadership and Management, and GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Desirable: Certification in Maintenance Planning, High Voltage Authorisation, or similar.
