Job Description
Our client, a leader in the structural steel industry, is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of key steel-focused projects. This role is ideal for a professional with a deep understanding of steelworks, eager to bring their expertise to a company known for quality and innovation in structural frameworks and large-scale steel installations.
Main Responsibilities
Developing, managing, and reviewing detailed project budgets and financial plans
Conducting thorough cost analysis, project valuations, and financial forecasting specific to steel structures and materials
Leading the procurement process, including contract negotiation and subcontractor coordination
Carrying out regular site assessments to confirm scope and maintain financial alignment with project objectives
Identifying potential financial risks early and implementing effective strategies to minimize impacts
Collaborating with the project management team to optimize cost efficiency and add value without sacrificing qualityIdeal Candidate Profile
Solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the steel industry
Strong knowledge of steel-related costs, supplier networks, and contract management practices
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Excellent analytical abilities, detail-oriented, with robust numerical skills
Skilled communicator and negotiator with a goal-oriented approach
Proficiency in cost management software, Excel, and industry-standard toolsWhat's on Offer
