Job Description
Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:
We are looking for a Project Engineer for a permanent position based with our client in Wellingborough area.
Immediate start (Subject to the interview processes)
Salary is £60,000 per annum.
Main purpose of the role:
To ensure projects are professionally managed and delivered within the Engineering strategy, in line with site and group principles. Project work will not be exclusively limited to the Wellingborough.
Responsible for the management of a variety of projects, including plant replacement, civil construction, new equipment and engineering improvement projects, both as part of our continuous improvement program or as part of the site's capital investment portfolio.
The Project Engineer will be expected to deliver on a portfolio of projects at any one time, including the generation of project proposals to required specifications, and designs / plans which are technically sound and give optimum investment value.
Projects will be managed from definition, through to option selection, detailed specification, tendering, on-site management, commissioning and handover.
Management of engineers, contactors, suppliers and consultants to efficiently deliver projects within agreed levels of quality, cost, time and tangible benefit.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Building collaborative project teams for each project
Management of day-to-day operational aspects of the projects, including project planning, co-ordination & Execution, Project Commissioning & Handover.
Conducting regular internal reviews of projects with internal briefings.
Taking ownership of problems from identification through to resolution.
Organisation and management of projects within a commercial environment.
Ensuring works are completed in line with the businesses health and safety policy.
Provision of out of hours assistance where required for the project.
Management of all contractor / consultant disciplines contained within associated project.
Ensuring that project documents are complete, current, and appropriately communicated to relevant stakeholders and managed in-line with the company quality policy.Ideal Candidate
A recognised professional qualification in project management
Experience in the delivery of large-scale projects, from concept and specifications, through to delivery, commissioning and handover.
Experience of manging the requirements of CDM
Qualified to Degree / HND level in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Experience of managing a similar role in a fast-moving, high-volume production or manufacturing environment, ideally food-based.
Knowledge of the requirements of HACCP.
