Reporting to the Transport Manager this key role is responsible for owning and managing the shift. By empowering the team, they will develop a high performing transport team that will focus on delivering the Transport plan. Responsible for the safe, efficient and cost effective management of all identified tasks, whilst ensuring the team are working to the required standards, individually and as a whole.

Reporting to the Transport Manager this key role is responsible for owning and managing the shift. By empowering the team, they will develop a high performing transport team that will focus on delivering the Transport plan. Responsible for the safe, efficient and cost effective management of all identified tasks, whilst ensuring the team are working to the required standards, individually and as a whole.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all members of the transport team complete their tasks in an efficient and accurate manner.
- To manage holidays, absence and ensure that shifts are running efficiently and cost effectively
- To manage the daily legal compliance of the transport operation ensuring that all relevant processes and procedures are followed
- Making sure that no defected (VORd) equipment leaves site. Ensuring that all pre- vehicle checks are completed, defects are reported and dealt with in line with our O-Licence requirements.
- Manage all Health & Safety matters in Transport Operation
