Join the Asset Investment Team in the Investment and Compliance Department as a Civil Engineering Surveyor. Lead impactful civil engineering projects for housing and corporate assets, ensuring they deliver lasting value to communities.
About the Role
You'll oversee all aspects of civil engineering projects, from identifying needs to delivering solutions that align with organisational goals. This includes strategic planning, budget management, compliance, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive innovative, sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead on identifying, planning, designing, and delivering civil engineering projects using the RIBA Plan of Work Framework, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Budget Management: Develop and control project budgets, forecast expenditure, and deliver value for money.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with residents, councillors, MPs, and consultants to meet community needs and project objectives.
Contract Management: Lead the procurement and mobilisation of contracts, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all works adhere to statutory, regulatory, and best practice standards. Prepare detailed reports and contribute to long-term strategies, including the 30-year Strategic Business Plan.
Customer Focus: Deliver exceptional service, addressing queries and complaints with professionalism and care.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering.
Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or equivalent.
A full, valid UK driving licence.
Experience:
Proven experience in civil engineering within housing, corporate assets, or a related sector.
Expertise in delivering projects using the RIBA Plan of Work Framework.
Strong knowledge of building regulations, contract law, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools for property data and mapping.
Success in managing high-value budgets and multiple contracts.
Skills and Attributes:
