Do you have a NEBOSH General Certificate?
My client, a leading aerospace engineering subcontractor, are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible person to help support the delivery of a robust HSE culture throughout the business.
As a Health, Safety and Environmental Co-ordinator you will work closely with the operational management team to:
* Promote a safety-first culture and champion the company's environmental objectives.
* Ensure the completion and revision of operational risk assessments and method statements.
* Manage company's compliance with the requirements of COSHH, working at heights, lifting equipment and manual handling
* Investigate works accidents and provide procedural policy updates as needed.
* Organise external regulatory checks for specialist activities such as noise, workplace exposure and emissions.
* Prepare and conduct regular training sessions with employees to ensure they are kept up to date with best practice.
* Manage company HSE records
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar Health and Safety role and be comfortable training and presenting to groups. You will also have:
* A NEBOSH certificate
* Demonstrable project planning and tracking skills
* Excellent communication and stake holder management skills
* A high level of IT literacy as much of the role will involve creating and delivering presentations.
Based in Sittingbourne, the standard hours are 38 per week, Mon-Thur 07.30-16.00 and Fri 07.30-13.30.
