Senior Quantity Surveyor
The Company

They are on the lookout for talented Senior Quantity Surveyors to join their team. Their success is soaring, and they're gearing up to take on a diverse range of thrilling projects, serving both public and private clients across various sectors.
The Opportunity
They are looking to attract an experienced “Senior Quantity Surveyor” to join an existing team in the Plymouth office.
Key responsibilities will include:
Work collaboratively within our QS team, reporting directly to the Associate QS
Independently manage key local commissions
Engage actively in design team meetings, providing valuable reporting and client advice
Conduct quality checks on junior team members
Prepare cost advice in alignment with RICS guidance notes
Prepare tender documentation and oversee the administration of tender processes
Handle the preparation of contracts
Take charge of post-contract cost management tasks, such as administering change control processes, valuing variations, and assessing contractor claims
Efficiently compile post-contract cost reports and prepare final accounts
Actively participate in and lead site meetings when necessary The Ideal Candidate
They are looking for candidates with recent Construction Consultancy experience, as well as:
Must be Chartered or have suitable experience with an understanding of the commercial aspects of construction
Strong proficiency in IT tools, including Word, Excel, email, etc.
Exceptional communication skills
Outstanding organisational abilities for prioritising work and meeting deadlines
Flexible with a positive approach
