About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a well-established SEN school. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity, providing the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of students with a range of additional learning needs.
As an SEN Teacher, you will work with a diverse cohort of students, supporting their academic and personal development in a nurturing and tailored learning environment. You will be responsible for planning and delivering individualised lesson plans, adapting resources to meet the unique needs of each student, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of support staff, therapists, and specialists.
Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to students with varying learning needs.
Assess and monitor students' progress, providing detailed feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
Adapt teaching strategies and resources to ensure accessibility and inclusivity.
Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful classroom environment.
Collaborate with support staff and external agencies to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current educational practices, SEN policies, and best practices in inclusive education.
Provide guidance and support to students, promoting their emotional and social well-being.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with students with special educational needs, ideally in an SEN setting.
Experience as an SEN Teacher
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to professional development and a willingness to engage in training to enhance your SEN expertise.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant SEN frameworks and legislation.Benefits:
