About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for a KS3 complex needs class at a specialist SEN school in Southwark. This role requires a compassionate, patient, and experienced educator who is passionate about supporting students with complex needs, enabling them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and tailored lessons for students with complex needs.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to meet the individual needs of each student.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting learning plans to ensure continued development.
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to support student wellbeing and progress.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, though applicants with significant SEND teaching experience will be considered.
* Proven experience teaching students with complex needs
* Strong understanding of SEN strategies and a commitment to inclusive education.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
