Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Remote (EST Time Zones)
Salary Range: up to 2000 USD

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our financial operations and office management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily office tasks, managing financial records, and assisting with various accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Bookkeeping and Financial Management:
  • Assist with accounts payable, including vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
  • Ensure all invoices are properly approved according to internal control procedures.
  • Reconcile company credit card transactions.
Data Entry and Record Maintenance:
  • Assist the accounting manager with data entry and other accounting projects.
  • Ensure all organizational documents are up-to-date and accurately maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with additional accounting software.
  • Previous experience in a private equity or real estate investment environment.
  • Basic understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
