This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.The Loader Operator plays an important role in the quality and safety of our products throughout the salt packaging facility. The Loader Operator is responsible to correctly, safely and efficiently move, convey and store salt bulk and packaged products. They will perform screen checks and quality verifications to verify a high quality product is being provided. Operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment, pride and ownership in running the maintained equipment is critical.Shift available: 3rd shiftCompensation: $21 per hourSign on Bonus: $1000Principal Accountabilities:Safely and efficiently operate equipment at site, including but not limited to bagging machines, operating salt conveying equipment, operation of packaging and related equipment.Safely operate heavy machinery used to move or lift products, equipment, or materials within and around plant, including but not limited to front-end loaders, Shuttle wagon, and forklifts.Operate computers to check work orders/schedule, print shipping paperwork and labels. Perform quality verification of product through screen analysis and chemical testingOperate computers to check work orders/schedule, print shipping paperwork and labels. Comply with corporate policies and procedures related to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Feed Safety risks associated with productsSupport a culture of zero fatality, injury and illness.Understand and proactively avoid environmental impact and potential risk to the businesses.Perform general tasks around plant with minimal supervision.No relocation assistance is provided.Requirements:Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance noticeAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.Basic use of a computer and typing skillsMust be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment. At least 1 year experience operating heavy equipment such as Front end loader or wheel loaderDriver’s LicensePreferred:Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Working knowledge of inventory systemsExperience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment (ex., packaging machinery, etc.)Considered candidates will receive a phone call from a (952) area code.
