Job DetailsA main Med Center in Eastern Nebraska is looking for PCU RN's.13 Week contract, 36 hours.
Job RequirementsBLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.If they hang chemo they need to be chemo certified but not required to work the floor.Other needed competencies: Ventilator, other hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000), ICP- all can train real time.
Schedule InformationShifts: 12 hour.Shift times: 7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a.Weekend requirements: Every third weekend.Self schedule.RN Ratio (Days): 1 RN to 4 PCU, 1 to 5 M/SRN Ratio (Nights): 1 RN to 5-6 patients
Unit Specific InformationUnit: 6 East.Level of care: PCU and MedSurg.Number of beds: 27.Patient population: Adults.Common Drips/Medications: chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, protonix.Charge nurse: Yes.Additional unit support staff: PT/OT, RN case manager, social work, educator, dietician.Float: Yes, same level of care.Patient Experience challenges/focus: hourly rounding.Qualities for hires: Teamwork, genuine need to care for patients, adaptability to cultural diversity and different religious beliefs.
