Job Description
A leading consultancy require a Quantity Surveyor to join their team at this exciting time of growth. Based in the market town of Wem, 5 mins walk from the station and easy accessible from Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Telford and Crewe etc this is a fantastic opportunity.
* The Quantity Surveyor role involves precontract and postcontract responsibilities, including estimation, tender work packages, and monthly valuations.
* Candidates should have ideally 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a relevant degree and contractor QS experience.
* The position requires strong analytical skills, experience with NEC and JCT contracts, and exceptional communication abilities.
* The job offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with benefits including career growth support and assistance in attaining RICS chartership.
Responsibilities for the role of Contractor Quantity Surveyor
* Precontract
*
* Estimation and cost planning.
* Tender work packages.
* Tender appraisal and recommendation.
* Sub-contract award.
* Main contract award.
* Post contract
*
* Monthly valuations and cashflow forecast.
* Monthly CVR’s.
* Cost and valuation management.
* Sub-contract valuation and final account agreements.
* Overall final account agreement.
Requirements:
* Ideally 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
* Contractor QS experience
* A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience essential in NEC and JCT forms of contract.
* Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
* Full driving licence
