Commercial Manager – Retail & Leisure Fit Out

Location: North East / Yorkshire (Leeds office opening in 2025)
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + negotiable package
Start Date: January 2025

About Us
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a specialist fit-out company based in the North East, dedicated to delivering high-quality retail and leisure projects across the North East, North West, Yorkshire, and Birmingham. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are thrilled to announce a new office opening in Leeds within the next 12 months. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional spaces, on time and within budget, and are seeking a skilled and driven Commercial Manager to join the growing team.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Commercial Manager with specific experience in the retail and leisure fit-out sector. The successful candidate will oversee financial planning, commercial management, and strategic budgeting for a range of fit-out projects. You’ll play a key role in ensuring project profitability, managing client relationships, and supporting the growth of operations.

This role will require travel to our North East office two days a week until the Leeds office opens in 2025. The role is suited to candidates based within a commutable distance of Leeds or Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities

* Leading commercial management and strategic cost planning for retail and leisure fit-out projects.

* Overseeing budgeting, project financials, cost analysis, and forecasting.

* Managing contractual negotiations, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and minimizing risk.

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.

* Supporting project delivery to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.

Candidate Requirements

* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the retail and leisure fit-out sector (essential).

* Flexibility to travel to the North East office twice a week until the Leeds office opens.

* Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to risk management.

* Based in either the North East or Yorkshire.
