English Teacher - Potters Bar (Good Mainstream School)
Location: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
Start Date: ASAP or January
Salary: MPS/UPS (M1 to UPS3)

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with the English department on best practices

Participate actively in the school's extracurricular English activities, including book clubs, writing competitions, and other enrichment opportunities
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in English or a related subject. Experience teaching English at GCSE and A-Level is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be passionate about literature and language, capable of inspiring students to appreciate the power of written and spoken English.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in English, Literature, or a related discipline
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4, with A-Level teaching experience considered advantageous
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students
