Leveraged Finance 6 PQE - Credit Fund

SSQ is retained exclusively on a search for a top global credit fund – to hire a senior lawyer specialist in leveraged finance (sponsor side), for their Legal team in London.

This is a senior, important appointment and a very commercially orientated role which requires excellent legal judgement and will see you interact closely with a wide group of business functions such as Fund Raising, Investor Relations, Marketing and Regulatory. You will not be churning transactions but will instead hold a more advisory role, ensuring you can enjoy more control over WLB with greater foresight as to what’s coming down the track.

Day to day responsibilities:

• Assisting the investment and business groups in structuring, negotiating, and facilitating new investments and related investment management considerations in the UK and EMEA.
• Assisting in the management of legal aspects of new bespoke product launches, including structuring, drafting and negotiation of investment management documents and review and drafting of disclosures, and coordination with investment, marketing, operations, fund accounting and tax teams.
• Coordinating with their Fund formation team on new flagship fund launches.
• Supporting on asset backed financing and liquidity facilities for funds.
• Working on corporate projects related to the firm, including private and public transactions, operational matters, investor relations issues and new business initiatives.
• Advising on marketing materials, investor communications and responses to investor inquiries.
• Assisting in ongoing legal aspects of operating existing investment funds.
• Coordinating with the Compliance team on transaction and investment funds-related compliance matters.
