High Voltage Estimator

High Voltage Estimator – working for a very large nationwide electrical company.

Job comes with car allowance – up to £65,000 pa (PAYE)

All applicants MUST have a full driving license

• £65,000 per annum - (PAYE)
• Monday to Friday days
• Working in areas such across the M4 corridor (Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Reading)
• Hybrid position

Main Duties:

• Providing accurate take offs and maintaining a high level of competency when preparing prime cost estimates.
• Developing Value Engineering Proposals and providing innovation where applicable.
• Competently using Trimble Contract Master for preparing estimates.
• Managing client and key stakeholder requests in a professional and timely manner.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience on substations works (DNO & Private) and associated equipment i.e. switchgear, cabling, earthing works, new / replacement transformers, protection and controls.
• Knowledge of various HV installations ranging from 11kV - 132kV.
• HV & Windfarm Infrastructure upgrades / new installations experience.
• HV Cable installation and jointing works experience
• Civils works - understanding of trenching, backfilling, plant and equipment requirements for projects and accurate vetting of quotations from supply chain partners.
• Staff Management and Delivery team requirements on site.
• HV Testing & Commissioning
• Ideally have design and build capability with the ability to evaluate design scope gaps on tenders.
