Java Software Engineer – Leading Asian FX Trading Firm!

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + bonus (approx. 25 - 50%) + healthcare

Location: 3 days onsite, City of London

This prominent financial exchange is expanding its London team with a new Core Java Software Engineer to contribute to their mission of building the world’s best FX trading platform. Join a project focused on low-level Java in this dynamic trading environment.


As a Core Java Software Engineer, your role will include:

- Developing innovative solutions for complex challenges.

- Collaborating with the team to enhance core company products.

- Sharing knowledge within a team of seasoned experts.

- Working on the backend of a cloud-hosted app.

- Following Agile, CI/CD methodologies with pair programming and TDD.


Tech Stack: Core Java, multithreading, low-latency, concurrency, distributed systems, Docker, Kubernetes, TDD, CI/CD, Agile.


Requirements:

- Hands-on commercial experience with Core Java, including multithreading, concurrency, and low-latency development.

- A passion for coding from scratch without Java frameworks (e.g., Spring).

- Exposure to CI/CD environments and modern tech practices like pair programming and TDD.

- Degree in Computer Science from a top university.
