Job Description
Job Title: Principal Engineer, BESS Commission & Installation
Location: On-site (Most sites will be located in North of the UK but this may change over time) Expenses & travel will be covered where required.
About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ESS Commission & Installation Engineer to join our dynamic renewable energy company. As a Principal Engineer, ESS Commission & Installation, you will be responsible for ensure the in time delivery of the project by guide and conduct commission & Installation. You will play a crucial role in our project delivery and also help out and collaborate during O&M stage when needed.
Key responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:
1. Execute the commissioning work for the delivery/operation and maintenance projects according to international project contracts
2. Ensure that the project can achieve the performance guarantee according to contract while adhering to the project's budget and timescale requirements
3. Organize and coordinate the relevant departments within the company to build a commissioning project team
4. Ensure the Test On Completion of the project within the prescribed time, cost, technology, safety, quality and compliance requirements
5. Analyse and monitor BESS operation parameters to ensure timely project delivery
6. Establish a risk management matrix for commissioning and Teston Completion, and take systematic measures to avoid risks and ensure legal requirement are met
7. Maintain onsite relationship with customers
8. Coordinate and resolve conflicts on the project specially for commissioning and Test on Completion, to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to quality standards
9. Guide and coach junior engineers and build up commissioning and installation team
Qualification and expertise:
1. Educational background: Bachelor degree or above, engineering related professional background;
2. Work experience: Must have more than 5 years of renewables commission and installation work experience
3. Professional business capabilities: Familiar with national and local safety, environment, industry relevant regulations and other standards
4. Good communication skills and coordination skills
5. Have the ability to solve problems independently
