Requirements
  • Functional testing in REST API, Database (RDS, NOSQL)
  • UI Testing Frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with AWS- particularly with Lambda, EC2, Stepfunctions and Codepipeline - Not writing
  • Automation Skills (API and UI)
  • Strong Java and JavaScript experience

Job descriptionWe are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join the Participation team which manages arange of user-facing systems for our client, including Commenting, Voting, and the Quizengine. These services span various product areas, delivering engaging experiences to users.
Commenting functionality is a key focus, with plans to enhance its capabilities in the comingmonths. Given the sensitive nature of personal information stored and processed by thesesystems, security is a top priority.
The Voting system powers high-profile events which leads to handling substantial traffic, aswell as smaller-scale fun votes and niche campaigns. Similarly, the Quiz engine supportsinteractive experiences such as polls, News quizzes, and Childrens games, offering a diverserange of content to users across the platform. Together, these services play a vital role indriving user engagement and enriching the clients digital offerings.
Our technology stack is built and deployed on AWS, with JAVA APIs and Javascript (Node.js,React.js) powering the system. This requires adaptability and the ability to manage contextswitching effectively. We follow Agile methodologies using SCRUM and two-week sprints,
with tasks organized in Jira backlogs. Joining the Participation team means workingcollaboratively to deliver robust, user-centered solutions on a global scale.

  • Mobile APP testing UI Testing (no code) Android, tablet, IOS, Device testing
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with both technical and non-technicalcolleagues
  • Great security testing skills
  • Performance testing skills (Gatling, K6)
  • Accessibility testing skills
  • Flexible, and adaptable to switching working on multiple products

Experience

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work based experience.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer ideally with a focus on media-related projects.
  • Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience with providing coaching and mentoring
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios.
  • Knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
  • You are flexible and curious in your approach
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional information

Duration of the contract: initially6 monthswith the possibility of extension FTC.
