Job Title: Moulding Setter
Rate: £15.55
Location: Launceston, Cornwall
Working Hours: 7:30am - 3:20pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Fulltime, Permanent
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Setter to lead the setup and optimisation of our moulding processes, ensuring quality output and efficiency for a key client in Launceston, Cornwall. This role will involve troubleshooting, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with tool design and production teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Moulding Setter:
Set up and optimise injection moulding processes to achieve efficient, high-quality production.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both development and production phases to ensure smooth operations.
Accurately maintain departmental records and reports.
Support the tool design team by ensuring tooling is designed and maintained for efficient production.
Assist the production team by operating injection moulding machines as needed to meet targets.
Identify defective equipment and coordinate repairs or adjustments as necessary.
Act as a stand-in for the Assistant Manager, ensuring seamless operations and team support during their absence.
Mentor and guide team members to foster skill development and collaboration.
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Regulations, maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Perform additional tasks within your skillset to support the department as needed.
Qualifications and Experience of the Moulding Setter:
Demonstrated experience as an Injection Moulding Setter with a strong grasp of moulding processes.
Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving in both development and production environments.
Experience supporting tool design and production within a manufacturing setting.
Strong organisational skills and proficiency in record-keeping and coordination.
Knowledge of Health and Safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
Leadership qualities, with experience in mentoring and the ability to deputise when required.
