Job Description

Roles Available in Location : Stevenage

Education required : To apply for this placement, you must be:

Currently studying a degree in Communications, English, Arts, Media or related.

Please read the degree requirements for each role carefully before applying.

Other requirements : You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) University for the duration of your placement.

If you have already graduated with a Bachelor's Degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Masters, you are not eligible for this programme.

Language requirement : Written and spoken fluency in English

Expected Start date : June 2025

Duration : 1 year (approximately)

Salary : A salary of £25,400 plus a bonus.

Role Closing :

The Role

Overview of the Department

Precision Medicine is leveraging data and technology to inform patient identification, treatment/dose selection and monitoring.

We aim to transform clinical care and drive meaningful patient outcomes through the delivery of end-to-end precision medicine that leverages state-of-the-art clinical pharmacology, biomarker, and diagnostic strategies.

The Precision Medicine Communications Industrial Placement will support the Director of Capability and Engagement to create communications assets for internal and external partners. This could include animation, video, PPT presentations as well as assisting with training sessions, Town Halls, or events management. Precision Medicine collaborates with a wide variety of teams across GSK, so the Industrial Placement will have the opportunity to build relationships with teams and individuals around the world and will be involved in creating and facilitating our global Town Hall meetings too.

Key Placement Activities
  • Develop your writing and briefing skills for internal business and external audiences.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional GSK teams to develop communication
    materials, including key messages, campaign materials, briefing materials, visual/video
    assets for different audiences and channels.
  • Learn how to manage projects and effectively prioritise tasks.
