Job Description
Our client based in Northumberland are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their busy and dynamic maintenance team. With multiple sites across the region, they specialise in cargo handling and require regular maintenance and repair work on a variety of equipment, including FLT, cranes, and heavy plant machinery.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular maintenance and repair work on cargo handling equipment, including FLT, cranes, and heavy plant machinery
Assist with the loading and unloading of cargos as required
Learn and operate all aspects of Stevedoring, including the operation of plant and equipment when necessary
Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment
Be flexible in working hours, including shifts and weekends, to meet the needs of the business
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all timesEssential Requirements:
Mechanical Maintenance Fitter with relevant experience
Proficient in servicing and repairing cargo handling equipment, including FLT, cranes, and heavy plant machinery
Possess a full driving licenceDesirable Requirements:
Previous experience working in a similar industry or environment
Experience operating plant and equipment
Additional qualifications in mechanical engineering or related fieldTechnologies:
