Credit Controller
I am currently recruiting on behalf of my prestigious client, based in Heywood, OL10, for an experienced Credit Controller to join on a full-time, 12-month contract.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, trustworthy and experienced Credit Controller to join my clients team providing professional, proactive, and effective credit control support across the business.
The main responsibility of the role will be the collection of outstanding invoices, and mitigating risk across a large and diverse customer base. The role involves working with multiple currencies and managing large, complex ledgers across international markets.
Proven experience in Credit Control, dealing with large Ledgers, and ideally International Credit Control is essential. SAP and/or Oracle experience is also desired.
The role is on a fixed 12-month contract.
About the role:
* Oversee day-to-day credit control, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
* Maintain and reconcile large ledgers, managing a diverse portfolio of international accounts
* Handle credit control across multiple currencies, ensuring accuracy in exchange rates and reconciliations
* Assess credit risk, set appropriate credit limits, and ensure adherence to the company’s credit policy
* Negotiate payment plans, resolve queries, and address disputes promptly to avoid payment delays
* Prepare debtor performance reports, including aged debt analysis and cash flow forecasting
* Collaborate with the finance team to improve credit control processes and support cash flow optimization
Hours and Pay:
* Monday to Friday
* Salary up to £30,000 - dependent on experience
* 12-month fixed-term contract
About you:
* Proven Credit Control experience is essential
* Proven experience managing large ledgers
* Proven experience dealing with multi-currencies
* Experience using SAP and/or Oracle is advantageous
* Competent daily user of Microsoft Office and Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to meet deadlines and targets
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
