Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team in Bristol. This is a long-term position, providing crucial support to students with diverse learning needs in both 1:1 and group settings. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure that students receive the necessary guidance to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and group support to students with special educational needs (SEN)
* Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
* Implement personalised learning strategies and behavioural management plans
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed
* Support students in both academic tasks and personal development
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and parents to provide consistent support
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or in a similar role
* Strong understanding of SEN practices and experience working with children with special needs
* Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability
* Ability to work well within a team and build positive relationships with students and staff
* A commitment to helping all students achieve their potential
