Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Food Factory
Nottingham
Shift: Sunday to Thursday Day Shift
Salary: £40,(Apply online only) Recruitment are looking for a Maintenance engineer in Nottingham to maintain a high standard and ensure smooth production processes within the Factory. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving the performance of production machinery and equipment. You will ensure minimal downtime, optimal safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
Conduct routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and food safety standards.
Conduct risk assessments and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Participate in initiatives to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
Recommend and implement upgrades or modifications to machinery.
Work closely with the production team to ensure alignment of maintenance activities with production schedules.
Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when required.Qualifications:
Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering.Experience:
Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
Strong knowledge of food production equipment and systems.
Expertise in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with PLC systems, conveyors, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems.
