Teaching Assistant (SEND Focus)
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (Term-Time Only)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary/Permanent positions available
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a school in Oldham. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students' educational, emotional, and social needs, ensuring every student can reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities
Supporting Learning: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons, working one-to-one or in small groups with students who require additional support.
Student Engagement: Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and essential skills by creating a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Classroom Preparation: Help set up resources and organize the classroom to foster an inclusive and structured setting.
Progress Monitoring: Work closely with teachers to monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
Personal Care (if required): Provide support with personal care routines to meet students' needs, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.Requirements
Experience working with children, particularly in an educational or SEND setting, is preferred.
Strong Communication Skills: Able to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
Team Player: Work collaboratively with other staff members to support student development.
Relevant Qualifications (desirable): Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar is advantageous.
