Project Manager – Commercial & Industrial Solar

Permanent: Hybrid – Office & On-site (Canterbury)

Basic Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (Flexible DOE)

Are you looking for a pivotal role in a position that seeks a proactive, autonomous approach?

We are glad to be partnered with a leading Energy systems installer, seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join their growing solar energy team based in the South East, UK.

This role will be given you lots of autonomy to deliver large scale solar projects, that said, the company has a strong development, design and delivery team to support with any scenarios which arise. This company is ever-growing and is delivering more and more ground mounted solar projects each year, giving you the opportunity to work across both ground and roof mounted systems.

The Role

• Develop PV projects from award of contract to system installation to operation and maintenance (50 kw - 300 kw Ideal; however they work on projects up to 2 MW).
• Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

• Maintain relationships with key clients and suppliers.
• Produce site survey reports and feasibility studies.
• Manage construction with responsibility for Health & Safety compliance.
• Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
• Resolve and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.

The Person

• Renewable or Electrical: 2 years (Essential)
• Solar Project Management: 2 years (Essential)
• Familiar with working to ISO standards and procedures
• SMSTS or similar Health and Safety knowledge and experience
• Experience of negotiating, structuring, and managing construction
• Practical experience of general electrical and building works
• Knowledge of commercial scale PV design and installation
• Experience of connecting large electrical installations to the grid
• A renewable energy, engineering, or electrical qualification (Desirable)
