Freight Forwarder

Position: Freight Forwarder

Location: Leeds, UK

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the import and export of goods from various global locations.
• Coordinate collection with selected transportation providers.
• Work closely with clients, branch offices, international agents, and transport companies to ensure seamless operations.
• Deliver excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and providing regular updates.
• Monitor shipment progress, manage invoicing, and handle pre-alerts from overseas offices and agents.
• Complete Customs entries as required.
• Supervise shipments until final delivery.
• Handle job costing and invoicing processes.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years' experience in a UK-based freight forwarding company.
• Familiarity with import and export operations, including air, road, or ocean freight.
• In-depth knowledge of customs clearance processes.
• Proficient in freight software like Cargowise, Multifreight, etc.
• Strong customer service skills.
