Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing project costs, conducting feasibility studies, preparing tenders, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. You’ll work closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to analyze costs, manage budgets, and ensure the financial success of our projects. Your expertise will be integral to achieving optimal value, compliance with project specifications, and maintaining quality throughout the lifecycle of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Management:
* Prepare and manage detailed budgets, cost plans, and cost analyses for assigned projects.
* Conduct regular cost checks, audits, and valuations to control project costs and expenditures.
2. Project Estimations and Feasibility Studies:
* Conduct feasibility studies to estimate costs, assess project viability, and advise on risk and profitability.
* Develop initial budgets, produce cost breakdowns, and advise on cost optimization strategies.
3. Contract Administration:
* Assist in drafting, negotiating, and managing contract terms with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
* Ensure compliance with contract requirements, including quality, deadlines, and budget constraints.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of cost management, tendering, and contract administration.
* Proficiency in quantity surveying software
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
* Knowledge of construction law, procurement best practices, and risk management.
