Tradewind are recruiting for a SENCO for a 1 year Maternity Leave cover starting January 2025.
We are currently looking for a SENCO for a Primary Alternative Education Provision in South Manchester catering for children aged 5-11 with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH).
The Role
SENCO at Primary Pupil Referral Unit in the South Manchester area.
Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
Start January 2025 covering a 1 year maternity leave.
Excellent pay up to £230/day DOE.
Paid PAYE via Tradewind. We don't use umbrella companies.
Equal pay to what the school would pay you on contract from the 13th week onwards.
Requirements
Prior experience as a SENCO is essential.
Previous experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead is desirable as is previous experience in Primary.
SENCOs with Secondary backgrounds will be considered though.
You will need to work closely with teachers, TAs, SLT, parents and outside professionals.
The School
Primary PRU in the South Manchester area.
All students have an EHCP for Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs, SEMH.
Class sizes of no more than 8 pupils including TA support.
Experienced & supportive management.
Collaborative teamwork atmosphere.
Focus on safety & inclusion.
Easily accessible by car, bus or train.

Hold QTS Status or QTLS.
Hold the SENCO qualification.
Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to pay for a new one).
Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
Minimum of two professional references checks.
Provide a CV with full education & work.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
