Quantity Surveyor – Main contracting

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a main contractor who specialise in providing high-quality building solutions across various sectors, including, healthcare, education, and commercial projects. Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £55,000 per annum + package
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial elements of our construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs to ensure they remain within budget.
* Tendering: Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
* Valuation: Conduct cost analysis and prepare valuations for work done.
* Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial progress reports to senior management.
* Contract Management: Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
* Risk Management: Identify and manage risks related to cost and contract management.
* Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met.
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and relevant legislation.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
