INTERNAL SALES EXECUTIVE
Working with a Freight shipping company based in Selby just off the M62. From time sensitive Air Freight and Worldwide Sea Freight to European Express transport this company now services a wide range of UK exporters and importers. Selby, North Yorkshire YO8 8BL
Shift pattern / Working hours
Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00
Selby, North Yorkshire YO8 8BL work in person
Start date / Duration
The INTERNAL SALES EXECUTIVE role is a Permanent position. This will commence with immediate effect, however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this.
Job description
In line with our business goals we are looking to strengthen our Sales team by taking on a new Internal Sales Executive.
Working as part of a team the successful candidate will proactively build relationships with our existing clients to nurture and maximise the business potential.
Account Management
Generating & calculating freight quotations / tender documents
Drafting and sending appropriate sales correspondence
Follow up calls
Managing sales process through to closure
Ensuring that the quotes are completed promptly and are followed up to maximise conversion
Client visiting where required
The successful candidate:
Sales or customer service experience.
Freight forwarding or export sales experience (ideal but not essential as training is provided).
Proven success of calculating and submitting quotes and tender submissions.
Experience of negotiating with clients and suppliers.
Key account management experience with proven success of developing relationships.
Good administrative skills.
Good numerical skills.
Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Character and personal attributes
Confident communicator. (Written and verbal)
A positive and engaging personality.
Can do sales / customer service orientation.
Strong work ethic.
Good attention to detail.
Calm under pressure.
What's in it for you?
Pay rate - £23,000 - 25,000 Annual salary AND Commission expected £4,000
