Project Engineer

Job Description
Westlakes Recruit are currently looking for several project engineers, on a contract basis, for work in the reading area.
The candidate will:
Lead and manage emergent engineering projects from initiation to completion.
* Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation, tailored to the specific requirements of emergent projects.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and production, to ensure timely project execution.
* Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
* Identify and analyse technical issues that require immediate attention, developing innovative solutions to address them.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to design, test, and implement solutions that meet project requirements.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, ensuring that solutions are feasible and effective.
* Evaluate and troubleshoot emergent engineering problems, making adjustments as necessary to achieve project goals.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in emergent engineering projects.
* Communicate project status, challenges, and outcomes to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
* Prepare and present detailed project reports, including technical documentation, cost analysis, and timelines.
* Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project developments and any potential risks or delays.
* Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization.
* Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to secure necessary materials and components.
* Ensure that all resources are used efficiently, minimizing waste and reducing costs.
* Adjust resource allocations as necessary to meet changing project demands.
* Identify potential risks associated with emergent projects and develop mitigation strategies.
* Ensure that all engineering solutions comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
The candidate will ideally have:
HNC/HND/Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
Experience as a Project Construction Engineer within a infrastructure project-based environment.
Experience working within large scale projects, ideally in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
