An opportunity has arisen for a meticulous and innovative Mechanical Engineer to contribute to a leading Chemical Manufacturing business based in Warrington. The role requires a skilled professional capable of maintaining and developing mechanical systems to improve production efficiency.

Description
As Mechanical Engineer you will be tasked with the following;
Ensure all assets operate in full compliance with internal and external statutory safety standards
Covering all aspects of mechanical scope (vessels, machinery, piping, packages) including preparation of technical specifications, review of quotations, review of vendor drawings and preparation of design schemes.
Provide clear guidance to contractors, sub-contractors and vendors and facilitate resolution of mechanical technical issues to complete engineering activities to meet project objectives and milestones.
During start-up and early operations phases until the performance tests completion, provide adhoc field engineering assistance.
Carry out technical evaluations, including risk-based evaluation of complex engineering issues, resolution of mechanical related matters with significant project execution and/or commercial impact to ensure optimum outcomes to meet technical and execution expectations.
Resolve mechanical discipline issues to ensure engineering design addresses expectations and objectives. Communicate and elevate issues before they escalate to project management when necessary.
Develop, update and amend design/project philosophies, specifications and procedures ensuring that all references to Engineering are current and relevant.
Coordinate and analyse issues for resolution. Provide Mechanical Engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement etc. as necessary.
Interface with site maintenance organization to update Maintenance Strategy for new or modified assets including spares reviews, routine maintenance and OEM guidanceProfile
A successful Mechanical Engineer should have:
Bachelor's Degree - Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree and experience
5 - 10 yrs. experience with chemical manufacturing and mechanical systems including vessels and piping. This should include experience in project execution as well as providing maintenance support to production operations.
Experience working in a COMAH/High Hazard site is preferredJob Offer

Up to 18% overall Pension
Performance related bonus scheme
Hours - 08:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday
Sick Pay (Full Pay for first 6 months from day 1)
