Service Designer

Job Title: Service Designer - SC cleared

Length: 6 months initially, contract

Day rate: up to £750 per datinside IR35

Location: South West

Working arrangements: hybrid, 2 days a week on site

We are working on a Service Designer contract position with a government agency based in the South west. They are delivering an exciting programme providing more useful and accessible data for government departments, businesses and the public.

This is a critical role for the organisation as they build user centred design capabilities.

Due to the nature of work they do require a Service Designer with active SC clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end journey of services with potential responsibility across complex services
• Helping set direction and embed good practice within teams
• Work with service managers and programme directors to develop design concepts
• Make important decisions based on research and understand how this research impacts others

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced Service Designer who works with minimal support and can influence and mentor others.
• Experience working as a Service Designer ideally within Government or the public sector
• Active SC clearance
• Internal and external stakeholder management across levels of seniority
• Confidence and understanding of data and data analysis
