Job Description
Job Title: Project Lead – Mixed-Use Scheme (Bromley)
Location: Bromley, Greater London
A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Lead to take over the management of a high-profile mixed-use scheme in Bromley. This exciting project, which comprises both office space and residential apartments, has already reached the frame stage but requires further early works and external works before commencing the interior fit-out.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of the project, ensuring the successful completion of all phases from early works through to fit-out.
* Oversee and manage a seamless handover from the previous contractor, who went into liquidation.
* Coordinate and manage all external works, including landscaping, utilities, and site infrastructure.
* Plan and execute the interior fit-out phase, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to all design and specification requirements.
* Lead and mentor the on-site team, fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
* Manage client relationships and liaise with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
* Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, making necessary adjustments to ensure the project remains on track.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience leading mixed-use or large-scale residential/commercial projects, ideally in the £10M+ range.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and sub-contractors.
* Experience in managing projects taken over from other contractors (desirable).
* Thorough understanding of construction processes, including both early and fit-out works.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unexpected challenges.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client expectations and maintain stakeholder relationships.
* Relevant construction qualifications (degree/HNC/HND in Construction Management or similar).
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
