The Global Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is seeking an exceptionally talented, smart and agile Solar Asset Manager to work closely with the management of the operation and maintenance of the on-site solar systems. The position will focus in the supervision of the solar systems located in France and supporting the entire network managed by EU Solar RME, which may include non-EU locations (such as India, Australia and Japan). The position will require an individual strong in core principles of innovation, bias for action, ownership and insist on the highest standards.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Global RME team and will be the RME point of contact for all solar systems in Italy partnering with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee optimum performance and safe operations. Focusing on reliability and maintenance they are responsible for leading the Solar RME processes to support innovation and drive operation and maintenance improvements in solar technology. Constantly aiming for safety, optimum performance, efficiency, cost optimization, quality, customer satisfaction, and ultimately profitability within Amazon. They will work closely with technology owners, the central reliability team, the operational and idle sites, the maintenance vendors, the Design and Construction team, the Procurement Category team and other key stakeholders that are part of the Solar Program of Amazon in EU.


Key job responsibilities
• Work closely with the EU Solar RME team to guarantee safe and optimum performance of the solar systems.
• Align the region with the new operation and maintenance processes of the solar systems. Propose improvement to the existing processes.
• Provide guidance and solutions to improve the solar systems safety and performance. Propose and execute pilots.
• Ensure the RME local team receives maximum benefit of the solar system and is fully informed of any activity related to the solar system.
• Manage incidents, lead the Root Cause Analysis, capture lessons and share it with the EU Solar RME team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSHands-on experience with solar systems operation and maintenance.
• Experience as an established multi-site Engineering Project or Asset Manager with delivery responsibility to leadership level.
• Experience with solar monitoring platforms such as FusionSolar, GPM, SolarEdge, Juggle or others.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• Experience in budget management and estimations.
• Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Power Point and basic programming skills.
• Ability to lead, mentor and present to others and interact with all levels of management.
• Willing to travel at least 50% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Degree in Engineering (any field) or a related field from an accredited university.
• Familiarity of analytical techniques.
• Experience of technical program management.
• Solar and Safety certifications and trainings.
• Knowledge of the solar market dynamics and opportunities (smart grid).
• Ability to review and manipulate data in Excel across multiple data sources.
• A plus is speaking other EU languages.
