Title: Construction Litigation Attorney

Location: Multiple Locations throughout the US

Position Overview:

A reputable AM 200 Law Firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Litigation Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of construction-related disputes, including contract disputes, construction defects, mechanic's liens, delay claims, and other matters arising from construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, a deep understanding of construction law, and a proven track record of success in resolving construction disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.

Responsibilities:

- Manage a caseload of construction litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and support arguments.

- Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.

- Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes through alternative dispute resolution methods.

- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on construction-related issues, contracts, and disputes.

- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively manage cases and meet client needs.

- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case developments and strategies.

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing construction litigation.

- Strong litigation skills, including experience with all stages of the litigation process.

- Deep understanding of construction law, including contracts, liens, bonds, and regulations.

- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience representing clients in complex construction litigation matters.

- Trial experience, including first-chair trial experience.

- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices in the construction industry.

- Familiarity with construction-related documents and software, such as construction contracts, blueprints, and project management software.
