As the Munich Re Global Specialty Insurance (GSI) Cloud & DevOps Delivery Lead, based in North America, you will:

  • Work as part of the GSI Cloud & DevOps practice reporting directly into the cloud leadership team.
  • Be accountable for all aspects of Cloud and DevOps Delivery across North America. Develop and support all cloud operations processes.
  • Enable FinOps Practice initiatives in DevOps.
  • Leverage the existing team of Cloud and DevOps experts to deliver multiple high complexity projects in parallel.
  • Provide technical and management leadership for a team of 30+ across Munich Re and partners.
  • Support and develop all the cloud practice operations processes.
  • Establish and achieve SLAs in collaboration with Senior IT Leaders and Product Owners.
  • Work with Global IT Risk and Security Management to achieve GSI security and configuration goals.
  • Be relentless in driving and demonstrating continuous improvement.
Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practitioner with 15+ years of full stack technical architecture & cloud delivery.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, architecture best practices, and cloud-native application development, microservices, containers, and serverless computing.
  • Self-starting and highly motivated.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience reporting directly into c suite.
  • Experience in managing third parties & partners from a relationship and contractual standpoint. The candidate will assume responsibility for multiple partner contracts - sizable in both financial and scope.
  • Exceptional experience in tailoring engagement style to stakeholder requirements.
  • Highly experienced and proven track record in delivering programs that span multiple projects - including financial management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • DevOps & Cloud Architecture delivery experience in either Duck Creek or Guidewire. Both would be considered a differentiator.
  • Ability to influence decision making of peers and colleagues in architecture and security practices.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities to present complex situations in a conceptually clear and concise manner.
  • Confident in managing and delivering across the end-to-end technical architecture stack - development, security & IAM, infrastructure (cloud and on premise), performance engineering & operations. Broad skillset is more important than deep.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Azure DevOps, Identity Management, Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Compliance and Security at an enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying development architectures including - SCM, technical quality definition and enforcement, artefact management, build & dependency management.
  • Azure certification will be considered a distinguishing factor.
