In this role, you will use your analytical and organizational skills, as well as your exceptional tax expertise. You will help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business, playing a crucial role in managing and optimizing a company's tax-related activities.

Typical assignments will include:

Tax preparation and compliance
  • Review corporate income tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liability.
  • Preparation of tax projections and assistance with quarterly or year-end tax planning.
  • Ensure complete compliance with all state and federal regulations for corporate and individual (1120s, 1120c)
  • Perform and guide other staff members in delivering multi-faceted assignments.
  • Review staff work and provide timely and specific feedback.
  • Review and/or Preparation of individual, partnership, corporate and non-profit tax returns, as needed, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Keep up to date on current tax procedures and changes in tax regulations/laws by actively participating in internal and external tax trainings.
  • Identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Perform research on tax issues and filing requirements that affect tax compliance.
  • Represent clients on audits and respond to any government inquiries.
Engagement / Client Management
  • Develop, sustain, and manage day to day client relationships.
  • Maintain responsibility for management of client's tax deadlines, filing requirements, and analysis of billing/collections.
  • Serve as a member of the engagement team on specific client accounts, working as the lead on pre-engagement planning and development of final deliverables.
  • Collaborate with other managers and partners to determine client needs.
  • Acquiring strong working knowledge of client's tax structure while building a strong working relationship with clients to gather information and resolve problems.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in accounting and CPA certification
  • 10+ years public accounting experience serving a tax role, preparing, and reviewing all types of tax returns.
  • Comprehensive technical skills in corporate and partnership tax planning and compliance, as well as tax accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience conducting in-depth tax research and consultations on various tax matters.
  • Experience working with tax tools and resources.
  • In-depth understanding of tax law and regulations
  • Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
The salary offered for this position would be dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is $150,000.00 - $175,000.00.
