Source Code Management Engineer

ECS is seeking a Source Code Management Engineer to work in our Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon [contract award].

The Source Code Management Engineer is responsible for owning the overall GitLab, GitLab Starfleet, and all specific Git repositories. The Source Code Management Engineer will work closely with the customer to resolve issues via email and video conferencing and provide support for the customer environments across classification levels. The Source Code Management Engineer will also be responsible for configuring and managing branch management best practices, and providing feedback to development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Own the overall GitLab, GitLab Starfleet, and all specific Git repositories.
• Resolve customer issues via email and video conferencing.
• Provide support for the customer environments across classification levels.
• Configure and manage branch management best practices, including providing feedback to development teams.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure that code is properly configured and managed in GitLab.
• Develop and maintain documentation for GitLab and branch management best practices.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in source code management.

Salary Range: $126,000-$141,000

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or related field, with a focus on source code management.
• Strong understanding of GitLab and other source code management tools.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with security standards and compliance requirements, including HIPAA and PCI-DSS.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
