We are seeking an experienced construction manager to provide direction and project management for construction power projects to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of customer objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Construction Management Support - Assist with oversight at project sites in California and Nevada
Interpret plans and material specifications during construction as needed.
Review and advise design interfaces and requirements between the new project and existing facilities and systems.
Review construction plans for safety elements and identify safety issues during construction.
Maintain and provide project records including, but not limited to, daily logs, photos (with date and time stamps), testing and inspection reports, Request for Information (RFI's), daily observation reports, and track any issues that arise on-site.
Participate in walkthroughs and assist with preparing punch lists.
Review as build drawings and ensure all project changes have been recorded and transferred accurately to field redline drawings.
Assist with project closure report including the turn-over package.
Attend discussions by teleconference and/or face-to-face meetings as required.
Document construction progress and any construction issues in hard-copy binders for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
5-15 years' experience in in the utility industry for construction or demolition projects > $10M
At least one of the following:
Construction Management Certificate
Construction Management Degree
California Professional Engineering License or Engineering Degree
Short- or Long-term assignment in California will be required to ensure the successful execution of projects.
