Job Description
**Job Title:** MRI Technologist
**Job Specialty:** MRI
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** Day - 5x8 - 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours per Week
**Experience:** Prefer magnetic resonance training program experience with clinical internship or one year of clinical imaging experience.
**License:** ARRT (R) (MRI) certified or equivalent.
**Certifications:** BLS via AHA required.
**Must-Have:** Experience with Siemens equipment.
**Job Description:**
- Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies.
- Provide radiologists with necessary images to obtain diagnostic results for comprehensive reporting.
- Orient physicians, residents, staff, and student technologists on objectives and applications of magnetic resonance imaging, along with safety practices.
- Assist nursing staff, e.g., witness medication disposal and document in Pyxis.
- Ensure effective communication with patients, physicians, and other personnel.
- Apply high levels of analytical and critical thinking skills to perform appropriate scans based on patient's history and protocol.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the physics involved in performing magnetic resonance imaging exams and the use of all equipment necessary for a complete examination.
