Job Description
Our clients are looking for an engineering graduate to join the engineering team based in Suffolk. The consultancy is a highly specialised company who are renowned for their engineering excellence, predominately in the fields of security, explosives safety and weapons effects.
Projects are extremely varied in type and size with work predominately in the UK and Europe, with some projects across the world. Further to this, the company inputs into industry technical working groups and standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work for a specialist company in a challenging field of engineering.
Requirements
• Engineering Degree (Bachelors, Masters or PHD)
• Knowledge of civil/structural/mechanical analysis methods for code compliance
• Knowledge of structural material properties and models
• Understanding of the construction sector
• Use of engineering techniques to problem solve non-typical engineering issues
• Hard working and self-motivated
• Must be a UK national or hold residency for 5 or more years
Full Driving Licence required
Desirable attributes
• Use of CAD packages
• Knowledge of civil/structural/mechanical dynamic analysis methods
• Knowledge / experience of blast and impact effects
• Finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics
• Ability to work independently and also as part of a multi discipline team both internally and with other professionals on the Clients Design Team.
They operate training schemes progressing towards professional qualification with suitable engineering bodies (for example I.C.E and IMechE).
Salary subject to experience, plus benefits including profit share and private health care
