Senior Project Manager – £80M Purpose-Built Student Accommodation – Glasgow
Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager looking for an exciting new challenge? We are recruiting on behalf of a strong Tier 2 Main Contractor, recognized for delivering high-quality residential, student accommodation, and mixed-use projects across the UK.
The contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the construction of an £80M purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Glasgow. The project goes to site in January, and they are eager to appoint a driven and experienced individual to join the team as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team, including subcontractors and site staff.
* Preparing and maintaining detailed project programs and schedules.
* Managing client and stakeholder relationships, acting as the main point of contact for all project-related matters.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
* Reporting regularly on progress, budgets, and any potential risks or issues.
* Driving the project team to deliver within strict deadlines, particularly given the fixed program constraints.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager on large-scale residential or student accommodation projects, ideally with values of £50M+.
* Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams on complex schemes.
* Excellent knowledge of construction processes, planning, and programming.
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Experience working with tight deadlines and fixed-price contracts.
* A degree or equivalent in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certifications.
