Job Description
Main contractor seeking an Assistant Site Manager, specialising in Externals and Brickwork, to help successfully deliver a £100M+ residential project in Cambridge.
Working under the guidance of an experienced Externals Manager and Senior Site Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering a quality-driven project. With four blocks of RC frame apartments being constructed, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow while gaining exposure to large-scale, high-value developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing externals trades, with a primary focus on brick façade works.
* Carrying out QA/QC inspections and ensuring high standards of workmanship.
* Conducting snagging, defect rectification, and managing follow-ups.
* Using Procore to record progress and maintain photographic documentation.
* Supporting the team to meet project deadlines and ensure smooth operations on-site.
Ideal candidates will:
* Be keen to build a career in construction management.
* Have a basic understanding of externals trades and construction processes.
* Be highly organised, with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to snagging and QA/QC tasks.
* Have familiarity with Procore or similar construction software (training can be provided).
* Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working on-site.
